{tab=Synopsis}

Synopsis: Bella awakens to a new world. Her senses are sharpened, she’s beautiful, and she’s strong. As a newborn vampire, she should be blood-thirsty, so the Cullen family won’t let her see her baby. Although she can feel the thirst for blood burning in her lungs, Bella’s will power and self-control prove so strong that she breaks off mid-hunt of a rock-climber to follow a mountain lion. This proves she is able to see baby Renesmee. The baby needs her, too. When Bella learns that Jacob imprinted on her baby, she snaps and attacks him, but knocks Seth into a tree when he moves to protect Jake. Jake is able to then persuade her that they are good for eachother and she knows he has no choice in who he imprints.

Esme has renovated a cottage on the property for Bella and Edward to give them some privacy. They again make love, which Bella enjoys even more as a vampire. She misses Charlie, yet is lost as to how to break the news of her transformation to him, after Jake argues that they cannot leave Forks. Jacob takes the matter into his own hands by exposing himself as a werewolf to Charlie, akwardly as he begins to strip naked with no explanation. He tells him that Bella has also undergone an "unusual" change but wants to have him in her life, if he can handle it. Bella manages to control her blood thirst when Charlie visits, telling him only what he needs to know. They introduce Renesmee as the niece they have adopted, for Charlie to realise that she has Bellas’ eyes. he agrees that he does not need to know and falls in love with his "special" grandchild.

In a matter of weeks, Renesmee can talk and grows big enough to walk and hunt. When Bella and Jacob take her on a hunting trip, Irina, a sister of the Denali clan, misidentifies Renesmee as an "immortal child," which is one of the highest crimes under Volturi law. Alice sees Irina telling the Volturi this news and predicts that they will come to destroy the Cullens for their crime. Shortly after, she disappears with Jasper leaving only a little note writted on a torn out page from Bella’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’. This pushes Bella to visit the book to further find a note leading her, and only her, to a man named J. Jenks. Bella arrives at the restaurant with no information as to the meeting, she finds Jasper has ordered a fake passport for Jake and Renesmee, as well as a driving licence and birth certificates, which tells Bella what Alice has planned, to her dismay.

To stop the Volturi, the Cullens call in their 18 friends to witness that Renesmee is not an immortal child, but is half-human with a heart beat. Training for a possible fight against the vast numbers of the Volturi army, Bella discovers that she can use the power of her "private mind" as a shield that can expand to protect others from the mental powers of even the fiercest Volturi when she is practicing with Kate. Kate uses her electric shock on Edward, to motivate Bella to extend her power on to another person, in order to protect the ones she loves.

Upon confronting the Cullens and their allies, the Volturi stand with a threatening presence. Aro reads Edwards thoughts to discover that Renesmee is no threat, half Vampire half human. He calls Renesmee forward where she shows Aro her history and nature, flanked by Bella, Jake and Emmett. Aro realises Irina was mistaken and moves to his plan B, to provoke the group with the execution of Irina. Tanya and Kate immediately respond, and it takes the work of the rest of the allies to control them and they realise it was his plan to invoke a violent response. failing this, Aro moves to suggest that as Renesmee is unprecedented, she is unpredictable and therefore unsafe. Alice and Jasper appear into the clearing to show Aro they have seen another like Renesmee and that she is safe to live on. Alice realises that no matter what she shows Aro he is decided on the future of the Cullens and that they should be destroyed as they are a threat to his rule and he wants the talented individuals on his side. Alice hints to Bella that it is time for Jake to take Renesmee to safety, sadly. Jane attempts to weaken Edward with her power to realise the Bella, with a smile, is protecting him with her shield. Alice and Jasper are captured by the Volturi, to which Carlisle is the first to respond. Aro decapitates and burns his body, which has the allies desperate for blood. A violent battle ensues between the allies and the Volturi, where there are many fatalities on each side, including Carlisle, Jasper, Seth, Leah, Alec, Jane, Demitri, Aro, Caius and Marcus. The screen flashes back to Alice showing Aro the future she has seen, for him to realise they are beaten if their meeting turns into a war. A young Brazilian named Nahuel, another vampire-human crossbreed enters, to state his background and genetic makeup to prove that they mean no harm and are even less inconspicuous than normal vampires. Bella is also desperate to know his ageing process to which he states he became fully grown after 7 years, to the remain frozen in immortality. Faced with the evidence as well as Bella’s powerful shield, the Volturi take their leave. Bella, Edward, Jake and Renesmee return to their home in peace to live happily ever after. Alice sees a future Bella and Edward meeting a grown up Renesmee and Jake on the beach, to which Edward sees and smiles. He knows that everything will be ok in the future.

Bella and Edward are sitting in the meadow we have come to know from the previous films, and Bella surprises Edward by lifting her shield from herself to show him her memories of their life together so far. They finish with a kiss, and a happily ever after.
